Focus of the Group
The Working Group on Audit focused on the quality of the financial
reporting and auditing of donor funded projects.
The group came up with a number of recommendations for
improvements in financial reporting and auditing to be achieved in
the short, medium and long term (see Documentation).
Process and Outcome
Four meetings were held within the period 9th of March to 9th of
April 2003.
The working group produced a final report (see Documentation).
The working group also conducted a survey among the secretaries of
the Government departments to gain further input to the discussion
from the secretaries’ experience with financial reporting and
audit procedures.
